Create a beautiful Great Room that blends existing furniture, is grandchildren friendly, and takes the space from drab and dark to light and bright.
Mission #1-Combine existing furniture with very contrasting styles into the new design:
It took some serious planning to combine an ultra contemporary dining set and buffet, and balance them with very traditional end tables. Combining styles can work….in fact it can work seamlessly. The buffet served as the perfect piece to separate and delineate the family room from the dining room.
Mission #2-Design a Grandkid Friendly Space
You wouldn’t think light sofas would be a good choice and perhaps it wouldn’t be if it weren’t for fabric and carpet protection companies like MicroSeal. The distressed cocktail table is perfect to hide any and scuffs from active grand kids!
Mission #3-From Drab and Dark to Light and Bright
Selecting light, cheery fabrics was key for client satisfaction. Fabrics selected were ridiculously soft, comfortable and inviting. This is a space that I wanted them to cuddle into and get that warm and fuzzy “I am home” feeling. They asked for light and bright and Grandkid friendly….mission accomplished!
