Last week Rejoy and I spent a wonderful afternoon at the Laguna Design Center previewing the new products for Spring. The weather was perfect and with so much eye candy, how could we not have a fabulous time!
Rejoy’s favorite piece of the day was this gorgeous chair at Bassman Blaine. She generally prefers a loose back cushion so you can really sink into it, but I thought it was perfect for more “focused” reading. We both loved the sculptural design and the detailing on the back makes it a focal point from every angle.
The perfect piece of furniture for you all depends on how you are going to use each piece.
A new vendor just set up shop in the Laguna Design Center and we are swooning! Check out these finds from Shine by S.H.O. Rejoy loved the composition of this long sofa and simple zebra print pillow. I couldn’t resist the lighting. The whole look of the store is very on trend, but done in such a classic way.
We had to pause here and grab our seats for the talk Windsor Smith was giving. *Crush* It was great to hear her perspective on a few changes in the industry. We’ll highlight a couple of our favorite take-aways in another post.
After the talk, we headed over to Century Furniture to check out the new line designed by the one and only Windsor Smith. This elegant chaise lounge she designed was another of Rejoy’s favorites for the day. Doesn’t it look so comfortable?! We also loved the way Windsor used color and antique mirror in some of her pieces. Yes, that is a blue mirrored top! Her style is the perfect blend of classic with a modern twist.
Check out the beveled antique mirrors behind this vanity. And that gorgeous tile! We definitely walked away with some fun new ideas for bathroom remodels.
These lamps were another favorite find. They are 48″ tall! If you have high ceilings, tall lamps can make a strong artistic statement. Notice how they bring attention and importance to this space.
It was another wonderful day to be a designer. We can’t believe we get to do this for a living sometimes. Hope something here sparked your imagination, too!
